We have three lawns, all full size. One of the lawns is available for play throughout the year. Regular club sessions for all members are held throughout the year, and members can play at any time- just turn up.

Lawns may be in use for matches and tournaments (see events calendar) but it is rare for a free lawn not to be available for members to use.

Club mallets are available, and the club provides all other equipment. The lawns are professionally maintained to a high standard.

We run regular coaching courses in both golf and association croquet, and have a full programme of club tournaments, and league and friendly matches against nearby clubs. See photo gallery for a good look at the club.

The lawns are available for corporate events. Why not use us for your private party or office outing?

The club is one of the sections of Dulwich Sports Club, which also has flourishing squash (4 courts), tennis (11 courts including 6 grass courts), cricket (men?s and women?s teams plus juniors) and hockey sections.

The club has a professionally-staffed bar open from 7pm on weekdays and 12pm at weekends. We have a full kitchen for members? use, plus barbecue.

Dulwich Croquet Lawns

Dulwich Croquet Lawns

Dulwich Croquet Club was founded in 1912, with two new croquet lawns laid. Dulwich Sports Club originated in 1867 with the founding of Dulwich Cricket Club. Croquet has been played continuously since then (apart from the war years).

A history of the club was produced for our centenary in 2012 and copies are available from the membership secretary.

From the start, the long established game of Association Croquet was played by both men and women with Golf Croquet also played from the 1920s. Since about 1990 club members have been active players in the national tournament scene, initially playing Association Croquet.

From 2000 Golf Croquet has become established as a fully competitive game, with Dulwich members being active participants in national and international tournaments.

Today Dulwich Croquet plays both Association and Golf croquet. Beginners usually start with Golf croquet as being the easier game to develop reasonable skills in.

Many members then use these skills learn Association Croquet as well. Most of our top players play both versions of the game and participate actively in club sessions and can provide informal coaching to beginners.
