Our first B-league match this season proved to be a baptism of fire as we lost 3-0 at home to Reigate Priory. The B-league format consists of 1 game of double and 2 singles, with a combined team handicap of over 48. We were represented by myself, Michael Goodman, Ken Watson and Rob Laver.

We were joined by Rob Burns for a delicious BBQ as Michael had another engagement to attend in the afternoon. After lunch we decided to swap the singles and doubles players over and continue playing as as a friendly. I regained my confidence and started to hit in again, although it was not quite enough as we also lost the friendly 2-1. However, a good time was had by all and I think we benefited from the experience.
