Croquet at Dulwich

Croquet is played on a grass lawn 28 by 35 yards, equipped with 6 hoops and a centre peg. There is a set of four balls, each weighing a pound and normally coloured blue, red, black and yellow. During the game each player will shoot the balls through the hoops using their mallet. All of these are standard and can be supplied by the Club.

There are two main variations of croquet, namely Association Croquet and Golf Croquet, both of which are played at the Club. Each variation has a handicapping system that enables weaker players to play against stronger opponents using extra shots (called bisques).
